Abortion as Healthcare? Not so Much

Barbara Lee, D, Representative for California’s 13th district, introduced a bill to allow taxpayer funding for abortion. While many considered her offering nothing more than a publicity ploy, I think it was something more. Her offering is a deliberate write off of her Black constituents. She and many others in the Congressional Black Caucus have done this  for years - favored the Caucasian eugenics advocates who so craftily push for removal of all restrictions when considering abortion – a part of their population control agenda.  Everyone knows the open secret of abortion: Black and Latina women are routinely targeted and Planned Parenthood's Negro Project ensures population control targets are met.

Using the usual inflammatory rhetoric, Congresswoman Lee made claims designed to incite- women are under attack because taxpayer dollars are not allowed to fund abortion. Her bill, The Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Coverage Act, would allow the use of taxpayer funds in what they call abortion care. In order to achieve this lofty goal, Congresswoman Lee and those supporting the EACH Woman Act called for a repeal of the Hyde Amendment so that women can make the best healthcare decision for herself and her family.

Two years ago, while presenting opening arguments in the trial of Kermit Gosnell, the most heinous serial killer in the nation’s history, Defense Attorney Jack McMahon said:  “They want to put Mayo Clinic standards on a West Philadelphia clinic. If you want Mayo Clinic standards, go to the Mayo Clinic.”  This opening salvo framed the reality that the healthcare pro-abortion supporters are willing to allow poor women entering a “low-cost, urban, poverty-stricken clinic” to face are Gosnell like conditions even if it may cost them their lives. Never mind the odors, rusted and blood stained equipment, pipes and toilets clogged with aborted baby parts. Ignore the aborted baby parts lining the walls and separate but equal waiting rooms. Ignore the reality that those giving you anesthesia are high school students and ill equipped to respond to an emergency.

Pro-abortion forces say the expectation of these women should be an environment of substandard medical care that may render them infertile or dead as has been the case with so many young, vibrant Black women that entered abortion centers in a growing list of states including California  Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, NY, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Massachusetts, and Maryland.  After all that is what they face each time they go into one of the centers the states have not inspected or enforced the laws against. McMahon, Planned Parenthood, National Abortion Federation, National Abortion Rights Action League, and others have worked tirelessly to ensure that abortion centers remain below the medical standards most expect of a facility where surgery is performed. They repeatedly defy state efforts to raise the medical standards in the centers, almost always stating raising the standards would require the closing of facilities because most abortionists can't meet them. Almost every salvo launched by those supporting abortion creates the illusion that women are being harmed by abortion restrictions. Yet, the facts show that the harm not from the restrictions, but from the abortion industry itself.
All across America there are reports of woman after woman being injured, molested, and/or assaulted in one of the unregulated abortion centers that dot urban areas.  Planned Parenthood has strategically placed more than 79% of its surgical centers within a two mile walking radius of a Black or Latina neighborhood. The stories surfacing from these and other abortion centers are not only horrifying, but life and fertility threatening
- Tonya Reaves bled for more than five hours in a Chicago Planned Parenthood. By the time they sought emergency medical treatment, it was too little to late and Tonya died.
- Twenty year old Rasheedah  Dinkins sought abortion services in a New Jersey center where she suffered massive hemorrhaging, a coma, a stroke and a hysterectomy in a second trimester abortion. Because of the abortion care she received, she will never have children and barely escaped with her life.
- Despite a finding by the Florida Medical board that abortionist Randall Whitney’s behavior created a danger to public health and safety, he was only fined $7500 after slapping a patient.
-On March 10, 2015 James Scott Penderegraft, IV was observed sneaking into one of the five abortion centers he owns in Florida and was the only abortionist on the premises that day. Although his license is suspended and he is not authorized to practice in Florida, he performed abortions on several women before the police arrived. The police, however, refused to take action or ask questions. Florida media refused to report the story.
- In his abortion career Arizona abortionist Brian Finkel had more than 30 complaints filed against him that ranged from allegations he "felt up" some of his patients to negligence. The complaints went unheeded until 2001 when he was arrested on 16 counts of sexual molestation, one victim stating he held his hand over her mouth as he assaulted her. By the time of the trial in 2004, Finkel was facing 67 counts of sexual abuse and molestation. Of the one hundred women who contacted the police stating they were victims of his abuse, thirty five actually testified. No one knows the actual number of women assaulted in his center.

These are just a few of the numerous stories of substandard care provided in America’s abortion centers and state after state refuses to prosecute or hold accountable those abortionists that violate state civil and criminal laws. This is the abortion care that Congresswoman Barbara Lee and others want taxpayers to pay for. Abortion care is not healthcare and more often than not, your daughter, niece, cousin, sister or auntie will pay the price. We pray it is not with their lives…..

Black Women Matter, All Women Matter

Growing up in Southfield Village in Stamford, CT afforded me a great childhood. Really.  I had a great childhood even though I had fights with my neighbors and friends all the time. When it was time to fight or if we wanted to pick one, we drew a line on the ground and dared our opponent to step across it. Sometimes we put a stick on our shoulder and dared our combatant to knock it off.  If they had the cojones to do so, the fight was on and one or the other of us would get a beat down. It has been a long time since I encountered someone bold enough to cross the line or knock the stick off. In recent times, however, Planned Parenthood has done both.

They first enlisted the aid of black leaders starting with the likes of W.E.B. DuBois, back in the early 1900’s all the way up to today’s cadre of advocates that include Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Nia Long, Star Jones, and Gabrielle Union. They have sought out the most trusted voices for the voiceless - the Black media and fed them talking points cloaked in the rhetoric of civil and women’s rights. Using the funds provided by many of those that fueled and supported Hitler’s Nazi regime, they have enlisted politicians, entertainers, sports figures and others to sell their services to communities of color. They have billed themselves as champions of Black and Latina women, fighters for the cause of their reproductive rights! They have even recruited Pastor’s to tell the 37% of Black women who say they are Believers, that it is morally alright to abort their child.

You've heard their slogans and talking points – trust Black women to self-determine their reproductive needs; there are disparities in health care and Black women are victims of those disparities; America, they say, has “a premature birth crisis” that “can be directly linked to our failure to provide adequate contraception and abortion care. They even go so far as to declare abortion helps with maternal mortality! (http://huff.to/1nODtBr) They proudly boast of having launched a multi-year campaign to reverse their ineffective outreach to communities of color ((http://bit.ly/1iwUJqw). Yes, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have crossed the line and knocked off the stick.

Taking off the cloak of secrecy that kept many of us blinded to their mission, they have tapped into major Black media outlets pushing their eugenics agenda. BET, Ebony, Essence, Madam Noir, and The Root, are just a few of the outlets that have published pro-Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion articles, commercials and opinion editorials. In February, Black History Month 2014, Planned Parenthood chose ninety-eight Blacks to honor, one for each year of their existence. Many of those honored could be considered among the movers and shakers in the Black community, influencers able to convince others to follow their lead. And like the Pied Piper, these influencers are persuading Black women to walk into the dens of abortion that are rendering them infertile, diseased or worse taking them off the cliff of death.

What makes this particularly disheartening is that these influencers know Planned Parenthood’s eugenic history. They know that abortion and birth control are counted the greatest advances in the eugenic toolbox as Frederick Osborne, past president of the American Eugenics Society boasted in 1973. They know that Roe v. Wade is the case that allowed the elitists to deal with “the populations we don’t want too many of”” as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed in her 2009 New York Times Magazine interview. How do I know they know? Because they tell us so in the many articles they publish. For example the Root’s Keli Goff and Madam Noir Ann Brown's recent articles about Black women saving a struggling Planned Parenthood both call Planned Parenthood's’ early history of racism “complicated”.  They both dismiss the fact that Planned Parenthood’s founder hung out with Nazi’s and others that believed in ethnic cleansing.

Despite mounting evidence that abortion and the centers where the surgery takes place are unsafe for women, and are actually dangerous, these promoters of abortion join with Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and the National Abortion Federation among others, calling for less regulation. The industry has acknowledged that it is not attracting reputable doctors (see Eyal Press' article in New Yorker Magazine, A Botched Operation), and substandard abortionists are filling the void. Yet, none of these honorees are fighting for the babies or the many women being injured every year. The Guttmacher Institute reports five percent of the 1.2 million abortions each year (about 60,000 a year) result in an injury that require hospitalization. Few of them reveal the truth about abortion in America – that there is a growing trail of women that can no longer have children having been rendered infertile by one of these substandard practitioners. They do not report on the many women that have bacterial and other infections from the filthy conditions found in many of these centers. They do not discuss the practitioners that sedate the women and rape them, nor do they discuss those whose centers do not have the needed medical equipment to resuscitate a patient if necessary.

Instead the culture is bombarded with rhetoric designed to lure women into the arms of those bent on destroying the life within them. And if the woman happens to die, well, who cares? She does not matter.

A line has been drawn in the sand. A stick has been placed on our collective shoulders. On which side will you fight? As for me and my house, we will do what our ancestors have done since the founding of this nation. We will fight for our lives because Black women matter, all women matter.

Another Daughter Has Died

It is hard to write today. Another of our daughter’s died this past Friday in a Cleveland, Ohio abortion chamber. I don’t know her name. I know she lived in Cleveland, Ohio where forty percent of the abortions are on black women according to the Centers for Disease Control. Our daughter joined a growing list of those maimed, molested or murdered inside one of America’s abortion dens. I don’t know how many died such a death since abortion began in 1973, because those numbers are deliberately being obscured by abortion supporters. While I do not know the name of the most recent victim to succumb at the hand of an abortionist, I do know several.

The most heinous, callous victim of abortion was Tonya Reaves of Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, Planned Parenthood left her dying in their abortion center for more than five hours before they sought the emergency care that would have saved her life if they had just taken her earlier the 1.7 miles to the nearest trauma hospital. I know the name of Semika Shaw, who at 22 died at the hands of America’s most demonic serial killer, Kermit Gosnell in 2000. I know the name of Sherika Mayo who the state of Georgia in 2009 said should have been given a blood transfusion rather than an abortion, because her blood count was so low due to sickle cell anemia. I know the name of Laura Hope Smith who was overmedicated in 2007 by a doctor the attorney general said acted in a “willful, wanton and reckless manner”. I know the name of Jennifer Morbelli a kindergarten teacher killed in 2013 due to a “Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation” “due to or as a consequence of Amniotic Fluid Embolism following Medical Termination of Pregnancy”. I know the name of Christin Gilbert who in 2005 died from systemic organ failure because of the lack of medical care given her. All the blood vessels in her reproductive organs were clotted.

I don’t believe one of these women woke up on the morning of their death saying” let me go die today”. I believe each of these women or their families believed the lie that abortion is safe and effective, as so many Planned Parenthoods and NARAL state. I don’t think any of the women that have been molested, or were maimed ‘chose’ to be. Every time you see someone with a hanger saying we will not go back:

Remind yourself of this:

a visual representation of those that have been molested, maimed or murdered in an abortion center. Recognize that this graph does not track every single injury or offense, most are unknown or not recorded. It simply gives warning that in recent years more and more women are being subjected to harm under the hands of those that do not care enough about women to exercise a reasonable standard of medical care. Recognize that abortionists care nothing for women or their health. Most of all recognize that abortion is not health care at all, but truly is a source of injury for numerous women who are suffering silently all around this country.

Finally take a stand. You can begin by standing with Margo Davison (cousin of Semika Shaw)who is being bullied by Planned Parenthood for voting to raise medical standards in Pennsylvania abortion chambers so no other woman will "be butchered, as she was, with her uterus perforated and her death of sepsis and infection permeating in her body till she writhed in pain on the floor of her home to her ultimate death". If you know registered voters in PA 164th district, call them, email them, text them, and ask them to support Margo in her bid for re-election. Show Planned Parenthood we no longer accept their lies that they care about women or their health. Show Planned Parenthood they can no longer brazenly flaunt their disregard for life in our faces without consequence. Defeat their candidate.

Enough!!!

I have to confess, I have not fought as hard as I could for the women that choose abortion. My focus has been mostly on the babies in the womb, fighting to give them a chance at life, a chance to join us living, breathing beings on the journey set before us. While some might view the fight for the baby as the fight for women, that is not always the case and today I declare it is time to fight equally for both the mother and the child. The spin and the lies used to entice women to seek abortions have crippled many women reproductively. The Gosnell trial is proof positive of that. I am angry that those who support abortion are using the trial to continue the spin that in urban communities, reproductive health is a matter of black and poor women’s lack of access. I am angry that they are using the trial as a commercial for Planned Parenthood, still seeking to drive women towards the abortionists’ knife. So today I am upping the ante and fighting equally for the women and their babies, especially black women since they are the target of the abortion giants. I hereby put Planned Parenthood, NARAL, the National Abortion Federation and all the other rabid abortion supporters on notice - Black women are not dumb, nor are we stupid. We are not some monolithic group of imbeciles that will continue drinking from the potion concocted to control the black birth rate. Enough is enough.

As the trial of late term abortionist Kermit Gosnell progresses the testimony is appalling, revealing a base mind that subjected women and babies to such horrors that they are almost unbelievable. Here we are in the twenty-first century reading about an abortionist that practiced segregation, separate but equal waiting rooms for people of his own race. He thought so little of black women that he allowed unlicensed personnel to medicate and treat them during abortion process, but ‘treated’ white women himself. The center was so filthy that it reeked of cat urine, blood and a variety of other unidentifiable odors. His practice was so demonic that he and the workers in his center thought it not strange that baby feet lined the shelves encased in specimen jars while many other baby body parts were ‘bagged’ and thrown into the basement where rats waited to feast. It was not thought strange that labor was induced and babies were “delivered” to then have their spinal cords “snipped” by the unlicensed personnel including one that said it was “raining fetuses and blood” at times. They thought it not strange that baby body parts so filled the pipes they had to be unclogged two to three times a week.

Adding insult to injury, it is clear that Planned Parenthood knew of the issues with Gosnell’s center long before the February 18, 2010 FBI/DEA raid: “Steinberg said that when Gosnell was in practice, women would sometimes come to Parenthood for services after first visiting Gosnell's West Philadelphia clinic, and would complain to staff about the conditions there. We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health," Steinberg said as she sat with Steinem before Tuesday's events” http://bit.ly/Z9nIKQ

The Commonwealth of PA, the National Abortion Federation nor Planned Parenthood did anything to warn women about the condition of Gosnell’s abortion center: “Despite his various efforts to fool her, the evaluator from NAF readily noted that records were not properly kept, that risks were not explained, that patients were not monitored, that equipment was not available, that anesthesia was misused. It was the worst abortion clinic she had ever inspected.” (page16, PA Grand Jury Report). Instead they have used this tale as a commercial for Planned Parenthood: “Of the Gosnell trial, Steinem added: "It makes more clear why you need Planned Parenthood."

Also, they have used this case to advocate for access to Medicaid while blaming the prolife community: “The evidence suggests a number of factors led women to Gosnell: Medicaid's refusal to cover most abortions; the scarcity of providers in Pennsylvania; fear of violent protesters; and a right-wing culture that has stigmatized abortion.”

Pro-abortion forces are working overtime to push America toward the belief that Gosnell is an aberration, an exception to the standard of providing quality medical care. But the facts reveal that belief is the furthest from the truth. There are many more abortionists that are applying Gosnellian tactics: unlicensed personnel fudging ultrasounds to disguise the age of the baby, unlicensed personnel administering anesthesia (including propofol – the drug that killed Michael Jackson); lack of licensed personnel to monitor patients during recovery; reuse of instruments designed for one use only; numerous botched abortions that have left baby parts in the woman and most distressing perforating the uterus of the patient resulting in a complete hysterectomy and sometimes death.

Planned Parenthood surgical centers along with others all have many of these same conditions. In fact, two Planned Parenthood nurses in Delaware quit recently because they feared their licenses were being jeopardized. Another Planned Parenthood spokesperson, in Florida acknowledged there are as many as 1200 abortions that end in the baby being born alive. Alisa LaPolt Snow, went on to say "We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician" suggesting they might not find the snipping procedure to be horrible at all since they would do nothing to aid the infant born alive. And just last year, Planned Parenthood’s idea of following “standard medical procedures and the law” resulted in the death of young Tonya Reaves after they perforated her uterus and left her laying in their center for more than five hours before seeking emergency care. By the time they sought medical help for her (which clearly their “doctor” failed to provide) it was too late and Tonya died a tortuous death because they did not care enough about her to get help immediately.

Enough! Women beware! Black women especially beware! It is time we sound the alarm and help women to know their health is at risk in these abortion chambers around the country. It is time we sound the alarm and let women know they may not come home from their “safe and legal” abortion. Remember Tonya Reaves, remember Janet Morbelli, remember Shirika Mayo, remember Semika Shaw, remember Laura Hope Smith. . . Remember the other 395 women that have died because they sought a safe, legal abortion. Sound the alarm! Women beware! Black women especially – beware!

An Open Letter to African Americans – Can We Have the Conversation?

Every day, all across America, more than 1500 black babies die in the abortion chambers that dot urban areas where blacks reside. In state after state, the numbers of abortions performed on black women are 2, 3, 4 sometimes even 6 times the number of blacks in the population in that state. In New York City, and perhaps other states that do not publish abortion data by race (CA, IL and FL for example) more black babies are aborted than are born alive.

Recent news out of states like Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana are horrifying. We are learning that many abortionists are little more than butchers, flagrantly disregarding state and federal laws that establish medical standards of care. These abortion dens do not have medical equipment available to take blood pressure, dispense oxygen or any other lifesaving procedures for those women that are over medicated or reproductively maimed when the abortionist punctures their womb, or pulls out their intestines. Many of these butchers are not even licensed to practice medicine (http://bit.ly/dX0rBM, http://bit.ly/fWUbJX, http://bit.ly/dOcGWe)!

Organizations such as the National Abortion Federation and Planned Parenthood are reported to inspect many of these clinics but there is no evidence they have warned one woman not to seek services from these abortionists. Claiming that abortion is one of the "safest medical procedures provided in the United States", these organizations cover up the horrific conditions of clinics all across America. They rabidly promote unfettered abortion, despite reports of women dying in these abortuaries (http://bit.ly/g0PHpN, http://nydn.us/cwVDyB, http://bit.ly/dPWgId), and women being maimed through careless and negligent medical procedures (http://bit.ly/bt2k7n, http://bit.ly/fEwUX8, http://bit.ly/gGDgBE).

Undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood demonstrate a willingness on their part to take money to abort black children (http://bit.ly/dYg6sX). Other videos show their proclivity to cover up sexual abuse of minors (http://bit.ly/fqv1kU) and to counsel sex traffickers on avoiding state and federal laws (http://liveaction.org/). There are reports that sixty four percent of all abortions are coerced (http://bit.ly/fub9A9).

So who is it that is most harmed by abortion? The numbers do not lie. Black women all over the nation are dying from abortion, are being reproductively maimed from abortion, and are being coerced into abortion at greater rates than their Latina, Asian or Caucasian counterparts. Abortions hurts women, and black women are leading in the number of injuries. Yet many of us refuse to look at this issue. Abortion has been shrouded in women's rights for more than thirty eight years and now, the industry is attempting to connect abortion to civil rights. Pro-abortion forces have characterized abortion as the friend of the black woman, skillfully weaving stories of reproductive rights that include the abortion scenario. To them truth is of no consequence as long as abortion is not regulated and black women continue to "choose" to terminate the lives of their children.

Pro-abortion forces are now turning their sights toward stopping any assistance that might convince the woman to keep her child. Pregnancy centers are being attacked through City Council legislation in New York City and Baltimore. Reports are that they the pro-abortion forces are seeking to introduce similar legislation all around the country, demonstrating NARAL's and Planned Parenthood's determination to keep "choice" synonymous with abortion. It is these same pregnancy centers that serve mostly black and brown women, providing clothing, car seats, high chairs and other resources needed to help with a live child.

Sisters, let's talk about this. Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger's depopulation plan that she called the Negro Project is succeeding. Only we can stop it. Let's talk about it.
